The many silly faces of Keegan

One of the biggest entertainment pieces of us as new parents has been the countless faces and movements of Keegan.  It has been surreal to get to watch his personality and expression begin to come out after having spent the last 9 months not being able to see him.  These are just a few of the better ones that made us laugh.  Keegan has brought so much joy and laughter into our home already!

First Bath

With the help of Grammy (Heather's mom) we gave Keegan his first bath. He surprisingly didn't scream or fuss, so hopefully bath time will not be a future argument.

Keegan meets Colonial Williamsburg!

On day 2 of being home, we decided to introduce Keegan to our favorite place to go, Colonial Williamsburg.  So we suited him up and walked about half of the length of Duke of Gloucester Street (mommy was worn out by that distance!).  Then we had lunch at the Cheese Shop and people watched.  This has become our ritual about 3 times a week as well as taking Keegan to the Farmers Market on Saturdays.  We love living in a small town like Williamsburg where we can do simple, fun family things!

Home Sweet Home and New Friends Too

After less than 2 days in the hospital, we headed home to Williamsburg.  Keegan got to meet his two new buddies Jackson and Mia (our 11 pound and 9 pound dogs).  It was love at first sight for Jackson and he has not left Keegan's side since that day.  If we can't hear Keegan crying, Jackson is the first one to let us know.  THe first night home we got about 4 hours of sleep in one stretch and 3 hours in the second stretch.  What a blessing!  He has proven himself to be a great sleeper and great eater.

Keegan is Here!

I wont go into any gory details about the actual experience, but I will provide a brief overview of the wonderful, exciting event.  Our doctor was scheduled to be on vacation starting the day before our due date and the following two weeks.  Also, they were expecting Keegan to be on the rather large side, so taking both things into account we decide to be induced on April 26.  Well low and behold Keegan agreed with that date because my water broke at 3:30 the morning of April 26.  We headed to the hospital for our scheduled induction at 7:30 (I know I know should have gone earlier) and 16 hours and a broken epidural later, Keegan was here.  He was 8 pounds 5 ounces and 20.5 inches long and screaming in all of his glory.  Josh was a great coach and even got to cut the umbilical cord (much to his surprise and not in his plan!).  Here are some pictures of Keegan fresh out of the oven, we are so blessed!
