He's sexy and he knows it

Keegan sleeps in the funniest positions and loves to put his hands up by his face.  We call it his swimsuit calendar pose.

pajamas

Keegan is now wearing big boy pajamas with feet and everything!  What a little man!

Keegan + Jackson = True Love

Jackson has been Keegan's constant, silent protector since he came home from the hospital.  The inevitable has finally happened and Keegan has now noticed Jackson!  Of course, Keegan's very first intentional smile wasn't as mom or dad, or grandparents, but at Jackson.  Here are a view of our favorite pictures of the two buddies together.  They will definitely put a smile on your face.

Dinner on the deck

We have discovered that Keegan is definitely an outside baby.  He can be screaming in the house and as soon as we take him outside, total happiness.  Here are some pictures of him sitting on the back deck while we eat dinner.

1 month old!

I can't believe Keegan is already 1 month old. It has literally been a blur. A crazy, exhausting, amazing blur, but a blur nonetheless. On the weekend of Keegan's 1 month, we went to Monticello and toured around with Heather's parents (Grammy and Poppy). After completely wearing him out touring around, we went to two different wineries before heading home. It was a great celebration :-)

Look who is more awake

Just a shot of Keegan being more awake.  Such a big boy!

now is it called tummy time or nap time?... I'm confused

After speaking with our pediatrician, we decided to go ahead and try out tummy time on our bed.  Heather placed Keegan on our bed and decided to go and start a load of laundry.  Perfect amount of time for this activity, about 5 or so minutes.  This is what she returned to...

I think I'll go for a walk outside

We love spending the afternoons in downtown Colonial Williamsburg, and we love it even more now that Keegan is here.  So we decided to take a picnic downtown and enjoy the field right outside of the Governor's Palace.  Keegan enjoyed some tummy time on a blanket while we enjoyed lunch and basking in the sun.  This has become a weekly occurance for mommy and Keegan time.

First Big Boy Bath!

One evening Heather was changing Keegan's diaper and noticed that his umbilical cord had finally fallen off (yay!). So she proceeded to place it on the comforter next to where she was changing little man. After finishing up the changing, Heather looked up and realized that the cord has disappeared. Long story short (ish), our schnoodle Mia attempted to have a nice tasty snack before Josh made her spit it out. So that night Keegan got to take his first big boy bath. He loved it from the start and just lays in the tub and coos. It has become an every other night occurance and Keegan hates getting out of the water.

Newborn pictures #1

We had a friend from Heather's work, Sarah, take newborn pictures of Keegan.  They came out super cute and we are so happy we did it!  Here they are:

Mimi comes to visit!

We were so excited and blessed to have Josh's mom Diane, aka Mimi, come and visit us from May 9-May 13 all the way from Oklahoma City.  During that time we went to the pediatrician, the commissary, the farmers market, and a little league baseball game  Mommy and Daddy also were able to go out on their first parents only date to see The Avengers.  Diane and Josh also were able to spend their first Mothers Day together in more than 6 years, as well as celebrating Heather's first Mothers Day ever!  Keegan definitely misses his Mimi and can't wait to get to spend time with her again!

The many silly faces of Keegan

One of the biggest entertainment pieces of us as new parents has been the countless faces and movements of Keegan.  It has been surreal to get to watch his personality and expression begin to come out after having spent the last 9 months not being able to see him.  These are just a few of the better ones that made us laugh.  Keegan has brought so much joy and laughter into our home already!

First Bath

With the help of Grammy (Heather's mom) we gave Keegan his first bath. He surprisingly didn't scream or fuss, so hopefully bath time will not be a future argument.
